Monteberg Rally is brand new on the calendar, and we are very happy to introduce an extra championship: the Sprint Challenge with TBR and Aarova!! Two single venue events for teams who lack time and/or budget to do a full Rally Challenge, or need some intro into Belgian rallying. Format remains the same: seven rallies, best five results count. Both results will count for the Sprint Challenge. Sprint results will not count anymore for the Rally Challenge. Darrians will be allowed in Wallonia (Salamandre/Chevrotines), most FIRC events will also be open to the Classic Rally Challenge. More details will be posted soon.

THE CLASSIC RALLY CHALLENGE

Times change, the sport changes. Who could ever have thought that the cars which were once the backbone of the WRC as we know it, would be excluded from most events or championships nowadays? Or in the best case just would be tolerated without being able to score points anymore, all since new categories like WRC 1.6 or R5 were created? Some sleep in a museum, others collect dust in the corner of a workshop. These cars are simply too cool to be ignored or even forgotten, and there are still so many around!

On the other hand, who would have predicted some 20 years ago we would see a massive army of top Historic cars nowadays? With a very active motorsport industry around it? Being nostalgic has its reasons, maybe things were simply more fun in the past. www.rallychallenge.be
